At Dunham on Trent CofE Primary School we follow the Letters and Sounds scheme alongside resources from Jolly Phonics and Monster Phonics.
Letters and Sounds is resource published by the Department for Education. It aims to build children's speaking and listening skills. The programme starts in nursery (foundation stage one) where children explore sounds such as; environmental, instrumental and body. As well as learning nursery rhymes, voice sounds, alliteration and oral blending and segmenting.
